Thanksgiving weekend

This past Thanksgiving weekend we decided to try something different from the traditional turkey dinner. We met everyone for breakfast on Sunday morning and then went to check out the Calgary Corn Maze. It was lots of fun and there was all kinds of things for the Kids to see and do, so much that we didn't even get to everything. They had 2 "trains" for the kids to ride, pig races, rubber ducky races, jumping pillows, 2 corn mazes, petting zoo, pumpkin painting etc.

The smaller of the 2 Corn Maze's (we figured the 10 acre one would be too much for the girls this year.

Learning to lasso and perfecting their victory dances

Ice Cream Break

Painting Mini Pumpkins

Feeding the "goaties" as the girls called them in the little petting zoo. They would only feed the smallest goats, the bigger goats freaked them out and the one very bold sheep was terrifying

Trying out the various slides and playing in the playground

Picking Pumpkins from the "Pumpkin Patch"

And on Monday we had an improptu Turkey dinner (I had no plans of cooking this year but finally caved Sunday and went out and bought a last minute turkey and assorted fixins) The girls helped by decorating pumpkin shaped sugar cookies for desert.
