Pre-Easter Festivities - Butterfield Acres and Crossfield's Easter Eggstravaganza

It seems that once you have kids, you can't just celebrate the holidays anymore on the actual day it falls on. Nope, now you have a whole week of festivities and parties (depending on how many groups or clubs your child is a part of and of course school). I feel like all we've done this week is hunt for "baby eggs" as Ruby calls them. There was a special treat at playgroup on Monday and Story Time this week was all about Easter followed by an Easter Craft and and egg hunt. Then the town had it's own Easter event and to end all of the pre-Easter events we went to Butterfield Acres Saturday for there special Easter Egg hunt. Whew!

Pictures from Butterfield Acres, if the girls look kind of miserable in some of these photos it's because it was freezing outside. Still it was fun and we will definitely go back when it's warmer and spend more time checking out the rest of the farm and the animals.

Playing in the park waiting for our turn to hear the legend of the Easter Bunny

After listening to the story we went out to hunt for the colored rocks so the Easter Bunny can turn them into Easter Eggs in his workshop

Sending the colored rocks down the "tunnels" so the Easter Bunny can change them into eggs

Doing some gardening for the Easter Bunny planting oats and beans in these cute little pots, which the girls got to take home

At the Town's event there was 5 stations set with different crafts, when the girls where all done they got to take home their crafts and a small loot bag.

I was SO glad that spring break for school was before Easter, I had no party for Ivy and just a movie time at school for Kade! Just looking at everything you did make me tired...but it looks like a great Easter week!
